❥ FIRST DRAGONSTONE | ACTION [NEW BARK TOWN] / VIDEO
[Waking up in a strange world and being kicked out of the house you woke up in before you're fully awake is kind of weird. Nowi's still struggling to take in her surroundings as she leaves Mom's house. She's not used to getting up this early. "This early" is about ten in the morning, so it's not really early at all, but that's not the point. Nowi finally finds a nice patch of grass and flops down, lying on her back and stretching her arms above her head.]
Maybe I'll just get a little more sleep before I start that adventure or whatever...
[She should probably find the Shepards first though. Chrom will probably be annoyed that she's run off again. She doesn't recognize this place, but surely things will make sense eventually.
Nowi moves to push her hair out of her face only to come to a startling realization. She sits up immediately, reaching up to her ears.]
Wh-What!? What happened? Where are my ears!?
[Her ears aren't missing, they're just small. Instead of long, pointed ears, she's currently sporting human ones.]
How-- How did this happen!? What's going on!?
[Now that she's more awake and she's getting a better look at her surroundings, Nowi's beginning to tear up. Nothing here looks familiar. The buildings look completely foreign and not in the same way most of Valm looks foreign. They were last in a volcano, how did she get here? It isn't long before Nowi's in tears, rubbing her gloves across her eyes in a futile attempt to stop the tears.]
What's going on!?
[About an hour and a half later Nowi posts a video to the network. Well, it's probably not Nowi doing it, since she's not holding the 'Gear, but probably some poor sap she roped into helping her. The camera is angled down on her, which isn't really hard since she's so short.]
Hi! I'm not really sure how to start this, so I'll get to the point. I've been told that this is "Johto" or something, but I don't really care about that. I'm looking for a bunch of people! An army! We're called the Shepards and our leader-guy's name is Chrom, so if anyone's seen them, let me know!
[There's a pause while Nowi tries to remember what she was going to say. She tilts her head as she taps a gloved finger to her lips. It seems the cameraman (or camerawoman) has decided to keep the 'Gear focused on Nowi's torso, so you're not getting the full horribleness of her outfit. It's still pretty bad though. Yikes.]
Oh, right! I've got a question about my ears.
[She pushes her bangs back to show off her perfectly normal human ears.]
They're not supposed to be like this! They're like... long and pointy and stuff! They're really cute and not... tiny. These are human ears! I'm not a human!
[Way to just announce that, Nowi...]
And one more thing! What's this?
[She points to the ground and the camera pans down to show a Dratini curled up at Nowi's feet. She quickly hurries before the cameraman can say anything.]
Yeah, yeah, I know, a Pokémon or whatever, but that's not what I'm asking! Is it a dragon? It looks kind of like a dragon. It's kind of nice that someone gave me a dragon, but why was it in a ball? --Yeah, a Pokéball, that's not the point!
[She balls her hands into fists and stamps her foot as the camera moves to focus on her again.]
This is really annoying! What's going on around here? I was in a volcano last time I checked, so why am I here!?
[But as quickly as the anger comes it leaves her and Nowi sighs and folds her arms.]
Well, I guess that's all the questions I've got. So if you're listening and you've got some answers, let me know, okay? Thanks!
[And with that, the video ends.]

Well, to answer your questions in order... I haven't seen an army or anyone named Chrom, and the first would be really hard to hide. As for your ears, everyone gets turned human here. It was one of the things that really bothered me at first too. Yes, that is a dragon, or at least a dragon-type Pokemon. It's called a Dratini, but naming it that would be like naming a dog "dog". It was in the Pokeball because that's usually how they're transported. No one really knows why we're here, or who brought us, or how.
That, I think, covers everything you asked. But if there's anything else, I'll try to answer. But first, if you could answer a question for me... What's your name? I'm Twilight Sparkle.
no subject
...Um, hi, I'm Nowi. Oh and uh, thanks for all the information...
[Finally she decides on something to focus on.]
Why did I get turned into a human? How did that even happen? I didn't think there were any spells for something like that! Unless... ooooh maybe it's a hex. Is Tharja behind this?
no subject
Nice to meet you, Nowi. Unfortunately I can't answer that, because nobody really knows how or why they do that, just like they don't know how or why we're brought here. I was a pretty good mage back home, but I certainly haven't ever heard of a spell that could do that. And I've never met a Tharja, so she probably isn't here either.
no subject
[Technically she can reclass into one, but Nowi's never bothered trying it.]
I wonder why no one knows. There's gotta be some sort of point to bringing us here, right?
no subject
[So she won't be able to teach Nowi magic to make up for being human. Pity.
But probably a good thing for those who like their homes un-burninated.]Well, probably. Unless it's just something random bringing us here. But since we still don't know how it happens... well, it's just guesswork at this point.
no subject
[Sort of like a spear, maybe? But for magic? Don't Mages use tomes??]
Huh... I guess it's kind of bad that we don't have any idea, but this place isn't bad, right? If you don't have magic then you've got some other way to fight the Risen, right?
no subject
[She rather hopes that Nowi being non-human herself makes her more inclined to believe Twilight's story... though it occurs to her that she doesn't know what Nowi is, still. Oh well she'll ask later.]
It's not a bad place, no. There are some bad people, but only a few. And your Pokemon can fight. But I don't know what a Risen is. There probably aren't any of those in this world either.
no subject
[..."Pegasuses", Nowi?]
Oh uh, a Risen is... hmm. Well, they're dead people only they're not really dead? They don't really seem smart though so... I dunno. And there are some that look like potato sacks! I'm not sure if those guys are dead or alive though.
[THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE POTATO SACKS]
no subject
[She can't even bother with the miswording. It's not as bad as some of the things she's heard come out of Pinkie's mouth.]
Wait... You mean zombies? There are actual zombies in your world? Spike would be beside himself.
no subject
[Well, about something like this. It seems kind of pointless to lie about this!]
Zombies? I don't think I've heard that term before. We just call them "Risen". Like um... risen from the grave? I think that's where it comes from. If it isn't then someone accidentally came up with a really good pun!
no subject
Despite the fact that none of them have ever seen Pokemon before, but they obviously exist since they're right in front of us.
[Unless this is a mass hallucination or something, but Twilight's about as sure as she can get that this isn't the case.]
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. The funny thing is, we've had a name for them for a long time in my world, but they don't actually exist outside of stories. Now, in this world, there are ghost Pokemon, some of which are really close to that, but I not quite the same.
no subject
[Nowi pumps a fist into the air before settling down again.]
Oooh, ghost Pokémon? So they're like... dead Pokémon? Wow, that's pretty crazy. I kinda want to find one!
no subject
[Ah, Spike. How she misses him.]
And yes, they are... which is really strange, because you're going to find that Pokemon don't tend to die in their fights here no matter what happens to them. The worst that happens is that they faint.
no subject
[IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THERE WAS ANOTHER MANAKETE AROUND, SIGH]
Oh really? That's good! I mean it'd be awful if they did die, especially if you worked so hard to raise them and got to know them really well...
no subject
[This is what happens when Twilight fails to think before she questions. Horrible insensitivity.]
Yeah, that would be miserable... especially since they really love to fight, or most of them do anyway, so I'd feel bad trying to stop them.
no subject
I don't really know! I'm sure I must've had parents at some point, but I don't remember anything about them, so...
[She shrugs. Something occurs to her then.]
Oh, uh, does it help that I'm over a thousand years old? My memory's not that great, so I've kinda forgotten a lot of my childhood and all that. But it doesn't really matter since I've got a lot of friends in the army!
no subject
[Then again, she doesn't seem particularly upset about it. Maybe it's just been long enough that she's accepted it.]
I guess it wouldn't make sense to remember a thousand years worth of experiences very well. I'm sure even the Princesses back home have a lot of things they've forgotten.
no subject
[Twilight's introduced an interesting topic, so Nowi's going to follow that!]
Princesses?
no subject
Kinda like Pinkie.]
Yeah. Back in my world, there are two Princesses who are, as far as I can tell, immortal. They've been around at least a thousand years, I'm not sure entirely how long. They've got the horns of unicorns and the wings of pegasi, which makes them what we call alicorns.
